Squint Cellular Patch
High Performance, Low Profile

Cushcraft Corporation recently engineered its omnidirectional “Squint” cellular patch antenna with a 3.5 dBi dipole like pattern shape and ceiling mount feature which provides an extremely low profile for minimum visual impact. The radiation pattern has a 55 degree beamwidth with the maximum directed at 45 degrees from the horizontal plane. The gain at the horizon is 2.5 dBi. This compact design provides system engineers with an aesthetically pleasing antenna solution to build out seamless microcellular and picocellular cell sites quickly and efficiently. Superior electrical performance is achieved because of the high quality etched copper circuitry which substantially improves cellular service quality, decreasing both interference and lost calls. Squint is suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications making it an ideal choice for wireless telephone booths, vending machines, industrial complexes, office environments, shopping malls, parking garages, airports, hospitals, campus settings and more.

Campus & in-building omnidirectional antennas

Squint omnidirectional antennas offer a unique solution to the low power characteristics of RF Distribution Systems, microcells and picocells. Squint antennas provide omnidirectional azimuth plane pattern characteristics while focusing energy where it is most desired for an in-building or campus- wide coverage environment. The unique pattern characteristics of the Squint Series also help mitigate the kinds of multipath problems that often confront systems designed to provide in-building or campus-wide coverage.

Squint antennas come in two sizes and in frequencies from 806 MHz to 5.875 GHz. They are offered with ceiling mount hardware and vertical column mount hardware for system infrastructure applications as well as hardware for mounting to vending machines and other fixed remote apparatus.

Squint antennas are available with integral coax pigtails and a variety of connectors or can be supplied with fixed connectors. All enclosures are UV stabile.

Ceiling/Surface Mount Mini Squint Omnidirectional Antennas

Cushcraft’s Mini-Squint antennas come in frequencies from 1.7 to 5.875 GHz and offer the same benefits as the standard Squint antennas only in a more diminutive package. The mounting hardware for ceiling mount versions is factory installed before shipment allowing for fast, convenient on-site antenna installation.
